Block level Declamation Contest on Patriotism and Nation Building held at Modi College

The NSS wing of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala organized a declamation contest on Patriotism and Nation building in collaboration with Nehru Yuva Kendra, an autonomous body under Government of India. The theme of this event was, ‘Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas, Sabka Vishwas’.The main objective of this programme was to ignite the young minds about spirit of being Indian and to motivate them for contributing in nation building in a constructive way.

College principal Dr Khushvinder Kumar appreciated the contest and said that young people are backbone of India and they must learn from our freedom fighters and participate in growth and development of our country. The NSS Officers Dr Rajeev Sharma told that in this contest participants from different educational institutes including State College of Education, Government Mahindra College, Patiala, Khalsa College, Patiala and Nehru Yuva Kendra volunteers presented their ideas and thoughts.

In this contest the first position was won by Ekta, student of Government Mahindra College, Patiala. The second position bagged by Ehman, Student of Multani Mal Modi, Patiala and third position was secured by Supriya, Khalsa College, Patiala and Ritu, a student of Multani Mal Modi College, Patiala collectively.

NSS officer Prof. Jagdeep Kaur also motivated the students to become responsible citizens and focus on their future. Large number of volunteers of NSS and Nehru Yuva Kendra were present in this event.

ਸਥਾਨਕ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੇ ਐੱਨ.ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਵੱਲੋਂ ਨਹਿਰੂ ਯੁਵਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ (ਭਾਰਤ ਸਰਕਾਰ ਦਾ ਅਦਾਰਾ) ਦੇ ਸਹਿਯੋਗ ਨਾਲ ‘ਦੇਸ਼ਭਗਤੀ ਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ-ਨਿਰਮਾਣ’ ਵਿਸ਼ੇ ਤੇ ਬਲਾਕ ਪੱਧਰ ਦੇ ਭਾਸ਼ਣ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਦਾ ਆਯੋਜਨ ਕਰਵਾਇਆ ਗਿਆ। ਇਹ ਮੁਕਾਬਲਾ, ‘ਸਬਕਾ-ਸਾਥ, ਸਬਕਾ-ਵਿਕਾਸ, ਸਬਕਾ-ਵਿਸ਼ਵਾਸ’ ਦੇ ਥੀਮ ਤੇ ਆਧਾਰਿਤ ਸੀ ਤੇ ਇਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਯੋਜਿਤ ਕਰਨ ਦਾ ਮੁੱਖ ਉਦੇਸ਼ ਨੌਜਵਾਨਾਂ ਵਿੱਚ ਭਾਰਤੀ ਨਾਗਰਿਕ ਹੋਣ ਦੀ ਭਾਵਨਾ ਨੂੰ ਮਜ਼ਬੂਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਅਤੇ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੀੇ ਨਿਰਮਾਣ-ਉਸਾਰੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਉਸਾਰੂ ਭੂਮਿਕਾ ਨਿਭਾਉਣ ਲਈ ਪ੍ਰੇਰਿਤ ਕਰਨਾ ਸੀ।

ਕਾਲਜ ਪ੍ਰਿੰਸੀਪਲ ਡਾ.ਖੁਸ਼ਵਿੰਦਰ ਕੁਮਾਰ ਨੇ ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੇ ਐੱਨ.ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ ਵਿਭਾਗ ਦੁਆਰਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਇਸ ਕੋਸ਼ਿਸ਼ ਦੀ ਸ਼ਲਾਘਾ ਕੀਤੀ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਨੌਜਵਾਨ ਵਰਗ ਕਿਸੇ ਵੀ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੀ ਰੀੜ੍ਹ ਦੀ ਹੱਡੀ ਹੁੰਦਾ ਹੈ ਤੇ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਪੂਰੀ ਤਨਦੇਹੀ ਨਾਲ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ ਦੀ ਤਰੱਕੀ ਲਈ ਯਤਨਸ਼ੀਲ ਰਹਿਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਮੌਕੇ ਤੇ ਐੱਨ.ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ ਅਫਸਰ ਡਾ.ਰਾਜੀਵ ਸ਼ਰਮਾ ਨੇ ਦੱਸਿਆ ਕਿ ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਸਟੇਟ ਕਾਲਜ ਆਫ ਐਜ਼ੂਕੇਸ਼ਨ, ਗੌਰਮਿੰਟ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ, ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਸਮੇਤ ਵੱਖ-ਵੱਖ ਕਾਲਜਾਂ ਤੋਂ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਅਤੇ ਨਹਿਰੂ ਯੁਵਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਦੇ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰਾਂ ਨੇ ਭਾਗ ਲਿਆ।

ਇਸ ਮੁਕਾਬਲੇ ਵਿੱਚ ਪਹਿਲਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਗੌਰਮਿੰਟ ਮਹਿੰਦਰਾ ਕਾਲਜ, ਪਟਿਆਲਾ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਏਕਤਾ ਨੇ, ਦੂਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਮੁਲਤਾਨੀ ਮੱਲ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਅਹਿਮਨ ਨੇ ਅਤੇ ਤੀਜਾ ਸਥਾਨ ਸੁਪਰੀਆ, ਖਾਲਸਾ ਕਾਲਜ ਅਤੇ ਮੋਦੀ ਕਾਲਜ ਦੀ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥਣ ਰੀਤੂ ਨੇ ਸਾਂਝੇ ਤੌਰ ਤੇ ਜਿੱਤਿਆ।

ਐੱਨ.ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ ਅਫਸਰ ਪ੍ਰੋ. ਜਗਦੀਪ ਕੌਰ ਨੇ ਵੀ ਇਸ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਣ ਵਾਲੇ ਵਿਦਿਆਰਥੀਆਂ ਨੂੰ ਸੰਬੋਧਿਤ ਕੀਤਾ ਅਤੇ ਕਿਹਾ ਕਿ ਉਹਨਾਂ ਨੂੰ ਆਪਣੀ ਭਵਿੱਖ-ਉਸਾਰੀ ਦੇ ਨਾਲ-ਨਾਲ ਰਾਸ਼ਟਰ- ਨਿਰਮਾਣ ਵਿੱਚ ਵੀ ਹੱਥ ਵਟਾਉਣਾ ਚਾਹੀਦਾ ਹੈ।ਇਸ ਪ੍ਰੋਗਰਾਮ ਦੌਰਾਨ ਨਹਿਰੂ ਯੁਵਾ ਕੇਂਦਰ ਅਤੇ ਐੱਨ.ਐੱਸ.ਐੱਸ ਦੇ ਵਲੰਟੀਅਰ ਵੱਡੀ ਗਿਣਤੀ ਵਿੱਚ ਸ਼ਾਮਿਲ ਹੋਏ।
